�️ InventoryPlus Help Guide: Configuring Extra Fields

InventoryPlus allows you to capture additional data using the Additional Fields feature. This is especially useful when you need to store custom information across various screens like Product Details, Sales, Purchase, Customer, etc.

� Where to Configure Extra Fields

Navigate to:

Settings → Add. Fields tab

From here, choose the relevant section (e.g., Inventory, Sales, Purchase) and configure the fields as needed.

� Example: Adding a "Color" Field to Product Details

  1. Go to Settings → Add. Fields tab
  2. Select the Inventory and Product section
  3. In the first field, enter Color
  4. Click Save

You’ll now see a Color textbox in the Product Details screen.

⚙️ Field Types and Their Functions

InventoryPlus supports multiple field types to suit different data entry needs. Choose the appropriate type from the dropdown:

� Example: Creating a Dropdown Field

To add a dropdown field like Allow Discount in the Customer screen:

  1. Go to Settings → Add. Fields tab
  2. Select the Sales section
  3. Enter Allow Discount in the field name
  4. From the dropdown, choose Select
  5. Click the Options button and enter: Yes,No|No

This creates a dropdown with Yes and No, and sets No as the default.

� Default Value Tip

Use the pipe symbol | to set a default value.
Example: 32,34,36,38|34 → Default is 34

� Notes

  • To set a default value, click the Options button and enter the desired text.
  • To set the current date and time as default, enter now in the Options field.
