Q2: How do I restore a cloud backup if my computer hardware fails or is replaced?

A:

  1. Install InventoryPlus Desktop on your new computer and open Tools  Data Connectivity.
  2. Click on the Backups tab to view your Available Online Backups list (which displays backup files from the last 14 days with creation dates and file sizes).
  3. Locate your desired backup file and click Restore.
  4. The system will safely download and restore your complete business database including transactions, masters, and settings.

Q3: How do I check data connectivity status in the User Profile / Status section?

  1. On Online InventoryPlus (my.inventoryplus.in): Click your User Profile Icon or view the top navigation bar to see the Desktop Status Badge.
    • Connected / Healthy: Live real-time connection between your desktop POS and cloud portal.
    • Reconciling / Pending: Background data transfers or report processing underway.
    • Offline / Disconnected: Desktop computer is currently turned off or offline.
  2. In InventoryPlus Desktop: Check the Connection Health card on the main dashboard tab or open Tools Data Connectivity to inspect live transfer speed, active device slots, and last reconciled timestamp.

Q4: What happens if my store loses internet connection for two days?

A: You can continue billing normally in InventoryPlus Desktop. When your internet connection is re-established, the app will automatically renumber temporary offline bills and connect all records to Online InventoryPlus without any manual effort.


Q5: Can two billing cashiers produce the same invoice number?

A: No. If you use Continuous Sequence Mode, the cloud sequence block system prevents duplicate numbers. If you use Device-Specific Sequence Mode, each cashier uses a distinct prefix (e.g. C1- vs C2-), guaranteeing distinct bill numbers across all counters.


Q6: Can I access Online InventoryPlus from an iPhone or Android phone? Can it be installed as an app for offline use?

Yes! You can install Online InventoryPlus directly onto your iPhone, iPad, or Android phone as a mobile app, allowing you to use it both online and offline:

  1. How to Install on iPhone / iPad (Safari):
    • Open my.inventoryplus.in in Safari.
    • Tap the Share button (bottom toolbar) and select Add to Home Screen.
    • An InventoryPlus app icon will appear on your phone home screen.
  2. How to Install on Android (Chrome):
    • Open my.inventoryplus.in in Chrome.
    • Tap the top menu banner or pop-up prompt Install App (or tap the 3 dots menu  Add to Home screen).
  3. Offline Mobile Capabilities:
    • Once installed, tap the InventoryPlus home screen icon to launch the app directly.
    • You can continue working offline (taking offline order estimations, searching product catalogs, or logging receipts) even when traveling through areas with zero internet or mobile network coverage.
    • As soon as your phone reconnects to mobile data or Wi-Fi, all offline entries automatically transfer and connect to InventoryPlus Desktop and cloud servers without any manual effort.

Q8: How do I enable notifications on mobile or web browsers if they are disabled?

If push notifications or bell alerts are disabled on your smartphone or web browser, follow these steps to enable them:

  1. Enable Top Status Bar Bell Toggle:
    • Open my.inventoryplus.in or InventoryPlus Desktop.
    • Locate the Notifications Toggle (bell icon ) on the top status bar.
    • Click/Tap to switch it from "Notifications: Off" to "Notifications: On" (turns green).

Q9: Do I need a high-speed internet connection to run InventoryPlus Desktop?

A: No. InventoryPlus Desktop runs locally on your computer database at maximum speed regardless of internet connectivity. An internet connection is only needed when transferring data to Online InventoryPlus (my.inventoryplus.in) or taking cloud backups. Even if your internet is slow or completely disconnected, your store billing operations will never slow down.


Q10: What should I do if I forget my password or Registration ID?

  • Forgot Password: On the login screen of my.inventoryplus.in or desktop login, click Forgot Password?. Enter your registered business email address to receive a secure password reset link.
  • Forgot Registration ID: Open InventoryPlus Desktop and navigate to Help About to view your active Registration ID, or check your subscription activation email/invoice copy.

Q11: Can I add staff members with restricted access (e.g., Cashier vs. Manager permissions)?

A: Yes! Under User Management / Access Control, administrators can create individual user accounts for cashiers, accountants, and store managers:

  • Cashier Accounts: Can issue bills and collect payments, but can be restricted from viewing item purchase costs, profit margins, or editing company settings.
  • Manager / Admin Accounts: Have full administrative access to financial reports, master settings, user management, and cloud options.

Q12: Is my business financial data secure on Online InventoryPlus?

A: Absolutely. All data transferred between InventoryPlus Desktop and Online InventoryPlus is protected with enterprise-grade encryption. Your records are stored in secure cloud storage facilities equipped with automated daily snapshots and multi-layered access protection.


Q13: How do I switch from Continuous Billing to Device-Specific Prefix Billing?

  1. Open InventoryPlus Desktop and navigate to Tools Data Connectivity.
  2. Click Online Options.
  3. Select Device-Specific Sequence Mode.
  4. Enter your counter prefix (e.g., C1- for Counter 1, C2- for Counter 2, or MOB- for mobile app) and click Save.
  5. All future bills issued on that counter will automatically use your specified prefix.

Q14: Can I use barcode scanners and thermal printers with Online InventoryPlus on web/mobile?

A: Yes! Online InventoryPlus supports USB, Bluetooth, and wireless barcode scanners as well as thermal receipt printers (2-inch, 3-inch, and A4/A5 printers). You can scan product barcodes directly into mobile search bars and print invoices directly from any mobile or web browser.


Q15: How many mobile devices or web browsers can log in simultaneously?

A: The number of allowed active devices depends on your subscription plan. You can view your total device slots, currently active sessions, and available slots anytime by opening Tools Data Connectivity in desktop or checking the Connected Devices manager under your User Profile on my.inventoryplus.in.
